for those of you who dont know this, the song is about the Depression in the 30s
and all of you people saying this song is racist, it is NOT. where in the lyrics is it racist? it is true that in the depression, discrimination continued in the south even after a New Deal program prohibited it. but that is not even mentioned in this song.
